We started in Tapia Park, took the Backbone Trail to Malibu Creek State Park, and continued on Crags Road until we came to the Overlook Trail. We took the Overlook Trail to Mulloland Highway, We retraced our steps from there to the Cistern Trail, then to Cage Creek Trail, then back onto Crags Road. We continued on Crags Road to the M*A*S*H site then to the end of the park where we saw the Malibu Dam. We turned back and had lunch by the creek. We went back on Crags Road and took a rest stop at the Visitors' Center then hiked back to Tapia Park. It was an overcast day in the 50's and 60's, the perfect hiking weather.
